Hey ,
Lately, I’ve been hearing the same thing from so
many women:
“I’m overwhelmed.”
Not just busy.
Not just tired.
Overwhelmed.
The kind of overwhelmed where your mind is full, your body is tense, your emotions are close to the surface, and you feel like one more thing might be the thing that takes you over the edge.
One woman said it this way: “If a feather landed on me right now, I think I’d lose it.”
And honestly, I think a lot of us know what that feels like.
When you’re carrying responsibilities, decisions, emotions, family needs, work demands, unanswered questions, and your own quiet concerns all at once, it can start to feel like too much.
But here’s what I want to gently remind you of today:
You were never meant to carry all of it alone.
God is sovereign.
He sees
what’s on your plate.
He knows what’s weighing on your heart.
And He can hold what feels too heavy for you.
Sometimes
we try to manage the overwhelm by holding everything together with whatever strength we have left.
But peace begins with surrender.
Not pretending everything is fine.
Not ignoring what needs your attention.
But pausing long enough to say:
“Lord, this is heavy. I need Your help with
this.”
This week, I want to invite you to slow down and name what’s actually causing the overwhelm.
Is it too many obligations?
Unspoken expectations?
A decision you’ve been avoiding?
Trying to meet everyone else’s needs while neglecting your own?
The pressure to figure everything out at once?
Call it out.
Then release it to God.
And after you’ve released it, ask Him for your next best step.
Maybe it’s making one decision.
Maybe it’s asking for help.
Maybe it’s clearing one thing from your schedule.
Maybe it’s having a conversation you’ve been putting off.
Maybe it’s giving yourself permission to rest.
You don’t have to solve everything today.
You can trust God’s sovereignty and still take wise action.
You can cast your cares on Him and still choose one practical step toward relief.
You can admit that it’s heavy without believing it has to stay that way.
So today, take a breath.
Ask yourself:
What am I carrying that I need to place in God’s hands?
Then ask:
What is my next best step to reduce the weight of this overwhelm?
God can handle your heavy.
And with Him, you don’t have to be buried under it.
With love,
Rena
